I've written all manner of articles - features, news stories, business profiles, travel reviews, whatever I could dream up or was assigned by an editor. My work has appeared in the Farragutpress, East Tennessee's Mountain Views, CityView, Smoky Mountain Living, Garage Magazine, Native Peoples, Missouri Life, and Big Apple Parent. My specialty is local historical fiction, local being a relative term. I started writing fiction too. Murder mysteries!
And now I have two tag lines.
1.) I dig up dead people. (aka genealogy and historical research)
2.) Don't make me mad or I'll kill you off in print!
I have also written and produced four stage plays and I just finished writing a screenplay.
In addition to writing, I'm a bit of a Kate-of-all-Trades - good at a little of this and a little of that. I learn something to the best of my ability or interest level and then move on to something else. I will always be a lifelong student and I love to share what I learn with others.
